Local - Physical Therapist - Inpatient Rehab

Tidepoint Healthcare Staffing is hiring a Local - Physical Therapist - Inpatient Rehab

Shift: Days, 8:30a–4:30p, 7.5x5, 37.5 hrs per week, M-F
Occasional weekends may be available (with a weekday off in exchange); no on-call required

Duration: 13 weeks

Requirements:

• Active NY PT License
• 1 year of experience
• Inpatient rehab experience required
• Current APTA membership required
• BLS
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred

Other Details:

• Entry-level position on a multidisciplinary team, with the opportunity to rotate across inpatient, outpatient, and acute services
• Performs initial examinations, establishes goals, and plans, implements, and modifies treatment interventions; coordinates with other disciplines as indicated
• Responsible for all documentation, including initial examinations, progress notes, monthly summaries, and discharge summaries
• Recommends durable medical equipment and writes letters of medical necessity when indicated
• Participates in discharge planning and provides home exercise programs when appropriate
• Participates in the supervision of Rehab Patient Care Associates, volunteers, and students
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; analytical problem-solving skills
• Intermediate MS Office Suite
• Local candidates accepted
