Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical Information Manager to support the evaluation and development of AI-enabled solutions within the Medical Information organization. This role will focus on identifying opportunities to leverage AI and emerging digital technologies to increase team capacity, improve responsiveness to customer enquiries, enhance operational efficiency, and establish the foundation for future Medical Information capabilities.

The successful candidate will bring strong Medical Information expertise, pharmaceutical industry knowledge, an understanding of compliance and governance requirements, and the ability to translate emerging technologies into practical and compliant business use cases.

A key objective of the role will be to help evolve the Medical Information operating model from a predominantly reactive approach toward a more proactive, technology-enabled model, while ensuring all activities remain within approved systems, processes, and governance frameworks. 

You will be responsible for:

• Evaluate and identify AI-enabled solutions and emerging digital technologies that could enhance Medical Information operations and create additional team capacity.
• Collaborate closely with the AI Strategy team and relevant internal stakeholders to identify, assess, and access suitable technologies and capabilities.
• Assess the Medical Information market, technology landscape, and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
• Identify opportunities to move Medical Information from a primarily reactive customer-response model toward compliant, proactive information provision.
• Support the identification and evaluation of relevant label updates, new data, and emerging information, with the goal of proactively communicating applicable updates to customers who have previously submitted related enquiries.
• Ensure proposed AI-enabled use cases are aligned with applicable Medical Information, regulatory, compliance, data integrity, privacy, and governance requirements.
• Develop and document practical AI use cases, business requirements, opportunities, risks, and implementation considerations.
• Contribute to the development of a future-focused implementation roadmap for AI-enabled Medical Information solutions, with implementation planning anticipated for Q2 2027.
• Support the development of direct-to-patient Medical Information materials, including content associated with the gefurilumab launch and appropriate administration using the associated device.
• Evaluate existing Medical Information processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, responsiveness, scalability, and customer experience through technology.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, assess feasibility, and support alignment on future-state Medical Information capabilities.
• Provide recommendations and insights to leadership regarding potential AI applications, operational improvements, and future-state ways of working.
• Maintain a strong focus on accurate, balanced, scientifically appropriate, and compliant Medical Information practices throughout all activities.

You will need to have:

• Master’s degree or Doctorate in a relevant scientific or healthcare discipline; PharmD, PhD, or MD preferred.
• 5–8 years of experience in Medical Information, Medical Affairs, or a closely related pharmaceutical function.
• Experience supporting AI transformation, digital innovation, automation, or technology-enabled operating-model initiatives.
• Experience developing strategic or technology implementation roadmaps.
• Experience with proactive Medical Information models, customer engagement, direct-to-patient information, or digital Medical Information solutions.
• Understanding of emerging AI capabilities and their potential application within regulated pharmaceutical environments.

Key Deliverables

The contingent worker will be expected to contribute to:

• Identification and assessment of relevant AI-enabled Medical Information use cases.
• Evaluation of current and future Medical Information operating-model opportunities.
• Identification of opportunities for proactive communication of relevant label updates and new data to customers.
• Development of compliant approaches for direct-to-patient information.
• Collaboration with the AI Strategy team to evaluate available technologies and capabilities.
• Definition of business requirements, opportunities, risks, governance considerations, and implementation dependencies.
• Development of an AI-enabled Medical Information implementation roadmap to support anticipated Q2 2027 planning.

Compensation Details:

• Orbis Clinical is an equal opportunity employer that provides a reasonable range of compensation for our positions. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience and specific office location.
• The Pay Range for this position is $82.75 per hour, can vary depending on employment status.
