Travel - Physical Therapist Rehab

Tidepoint Healthcare Staffing is hiring a Travel - Physical Therapist - Rehab

Shift: Days, 8a-5p, 8x5, 40 hrs per week, M-F
No weekends required; no on-call required

Duration: 13 weeks

Requirements:

• Active MO PT License (Compact privilege accepted — Missouri participates in the PT Licensure Compact)
• 1 year of PT experience
• LTC or rehab experience required
• New graduates accepted, provided they have Level II clinical rotation experience (not Level I observation only)
• BLS

Other Details:

• Long-term care / rehabilitation setting
• Screens, evaluates, and rehabilitates patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care needs, developing plans of care per regulatory and clinical practice standards
• Uses standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions
• Administers rehabilitation procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, supportive and assistive devices, and wound care
• Assesses patient progress and adjusts treatment; evaluates outcomes and makes referrals as indicated
• Provides consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other providers
• Documents in the electronic documentation system and accurately records treatment minutes per regulatory and clinical requirements
• Provides comprehensive discharge summaries of services
• Participates in patient care conferences, utilization review, rehabilitation meetings, and required trainings and in-services
• Able to obtain necessary DME or supplies
• Supervises and supports physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students
• Adheres to APTA and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
• Start time is flexible as long as it is consistent and coordinated with the Director of Rehab (DOR)
