Travel RN - PICU - Level 3

Tidepoint Healthcare Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - PICU - Level 3

Shift: Nights, 6:45p-7:15a, 12x3, 36 hrs per week
Length: 13 weeks

Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday), no on-call. Scheduling options: Rotating Days/Nights or Straight Nights (no straight days).

Requirements:

• CO license
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a staff RN in a comparable PICU
• Experience caring for patients from birth through 21 years of age
• Experience with: respiratory support (nasal cannula to BiPAP/CPAP and mechanical ventilation), chronic childhood diseases, sepsis, TBI, DKA, seizure disorders, oncology, metabolic disorders, non-accidental trauma (NAT), and surgical patients (neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedics, general surgery)
• AHA BLS
• AHA PALS
• BSN required
• Minimum 2 years of PICU staff experience preferred
• 1 year of travel experience in a teaching facility preferred

Other Details:

• Float: eligible to float to all inpatient care areas (critical care units, acute care floors); will not float to ED, OR/PACU, or inpatient psychiatry; client reserves the right to float/reassign within clinical competence, within 35 miles of the assigned facility
• Equipment experience: Trilogy and Servo ventilators, Codman ICP monitors, Medfusion syringe pumps, Baxter large-volume IV pumps
• First-time travelers accepted; additional staff experience may be considered in place of limited travel experience
• 50-mile radius rule applies (local traveler policy)
